The radiology unit is highly equipped with modern technology of Digitalized system and run by qualified technicians. The main function of this department is to assist the clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases through the use of X- Ray. DR is an advance form of X-Ray inspection which produces a digital radiographic image instantly on a computer. This Technique uses X-Ray Sensitive plates to capture data during Object examination, which is immediately transformed to a computer without the use of an intermediate cassette. The radiographic procedure basically consists of the exposure of the x-ray film, development of the exposed film and interpretation of the X-Ray. While the first two steps in this process are carried out by qualified and trained technicians and the interpretation of the x-ray is always done by radiologist. To maintain the quality of the services, we introduce DR X-Ray system.
Space and Layout
The diagnostic radiology unit is located in the out side of the clinical examination room and fully protected against radiation. The total area covered by this service is minimum 400sq. ft, the center has defined the different service areas for this department which are as follows.
X-Ray Room
The x-ray room is full protection from radiation hazard. It is fully equipped with modern x-ray machine. This room is fully air-conditioned. The control panel area of X-ray machine is fully protected by radiation hazard.
Dress Changing Area
The center has separate dress changing room inside the X-ray room to maintain the privacy of the clients.
Film Processing Room
The center uses modern technology of DR system in film processing room and with full air-conditioning to maintain the quality of service.
Reporting Room
The reporting room is fully furnished with computerized system and networking with central reporting system.
Human Resource
Radiologist
We have qualified and experienced radiologist for sound interpretation of the X-Ray film. He is registered in Nepal Medical Council.
Radiographer
To maintain the quality of service, we have full time two qualified trained technician for exposing the x-ray.
Clerk
The center has one clerk in this department to call the clients for X-ray. They are responsible to send the clients one by one for x-ray.
